Kasey Christie has been practicing law for over 17 years with law firms in the Pacific Northwest. Mr. Christie is outside counsel through his firm, Terrile, Cannatti & Chambers, LLP. His expertise is assisted by having served as chief intellectual property (IP) counsel for companies and in professional practice.
During his legal experience, Mr. Christie has represented and helped protect the IP assets of some the best known and largest international high-tech companies, such as Microsoft, Intel, Hewlett Packard, General Electric, and many others.
Kasey is widely recognized as an outstanding attorney and patent practitioner. In 2010, Intellectual Asset Management Magazine recognized the patents handled by Kasey and the firm where he was a partner as the highest quality patents secured by any U.S. law firm.
Kasey specialties in the area of IP counseling include due diligence, IP licensing, IP transactions, reexaminations, reissues and litigation support in the areas of copyrights, trademarks, open source coding and domain name disputes. His legal opinion work includes the areas of freedom-to-operate, clearance, right-to-manufacture and non-infringement analyses. In addition to serving as Senior Counsel to our firm, Kasey is a founding partner of Forefront IP Law Group.
Kasey is is a patent attorney registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He earned his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law and is a member of three state bars (Washington, Texas, and Oregon). He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas Arlington.
